While there is a lot of controversy surrounding the Fashion expose during the 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremonies in London, especially people saying that it has nothing to relate to sports (news flash people, neither does music…and that is at every single closing ceremony), I thought that it was exceptionally executed.
In my opinion I thought that the piece was creative and unique, pays homage to a major industry in London (both in reference to the Models and Fashion Designers), and is relevant to many viewers interests. I also liked how the piece payed homage to Paul Smith, a menswear designer, and David Gandy, the largest Male Model to come out of Britain, in addition to Powerhouses like Burberry and female models like Kate Moss.
